Anderson Wrangle (b. 1971) is an American photographer and educator based in South Carolina. He earned a B.A. from the University of the South and an M.F.A. from the University of Houston. Wrangle’s work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world, often through images that blur the line between documentary and constructed reality. His photographs span landscape, still life, and conceptual modes, unified by quiet intensity and environmental awareness. An Associate Professor of Art at Clemson University, Wrangle has shaped a generation of photographers through teaching and mentorship. His series, including The Outer Banks and Savannah River Basin, reflect his connection to Southern landscapes and the tensions that shape them. With deliberate framing and subtle intervention, his work invites reflection on our impact, presence, and place in the environments we inhabit.
